Field of Poppies

This landscape painting was inspired by the yellowish light and fresh smell of air after the thunderstorm. The bright colors of flowers and grass pop off the canvas, but the sky is still covered by the stormy palette. The painting is well textured, and this also helps the grass to pop and look more real. Long strains of paint sprout out of the canvas in a similar way to the Field of Cornflowers painting. Here the artist tried to channel an amazing weather phenomena when the rain and thunder just stopped, but there will be more as the storm is not over yet.

Haze over Fields

Haze over Fields was inspired by artist’s childhood memories of long car trips and endless fields seen through the window. The flow of the painting moves in two different directions. One is moving away from the viewer, leading the eyes to the center of the painting. Another one moves toward the viewer through the fields and creates a clash of lines right in the middle. The chaotic sky can be seen as a product of this clash in the fields. There is a notion of calm and chaos in this piece, but the chaos is in the sky this time. The dramatic clouds and stormy, yet gentle, colors are the proof. This original acrylic painting is 10” by 8” in size and quite smooth with very little texture. All strokes are flat, and the drama is represented by colors. Haze over Fields is an attempt to show the drama of what most people would consider plain and boring.

Wave of Calm over Chaos

This abstract painting hides the idea of calmness taking over chaos. The perfect blue consumes the chaos of life, turning it into peaceful emptiness. From the other point of view, the blue wave could be creating chaos. In any case, this is the relationship of calmness and chaos. There is no one without the other; as without chaos we cannot understand the true calmness. On one hand this is a very textured painting, which adds a special feel to the chaos part. On the other, the wave of sky is smooth and represents calmness.

Winterscape

This miniature landscape painting was inspired by memories of frosty days and mesmerizing snow. The sound of crunching snow underneath one’s feet, the enchanting glow of the snowflakes in the sunset rays, the stillness of the sleeping river bound by ice. One of four wonders of nature is captured in this acrylic painting, the winter. This winterscape is done in both cold and warm tones to represent the feelings of the people who are in a warm, snowless place during the Christmas season. So, let it snow!
