I really love the sketch on the left, it’s turned out very dynamic. I think I could make an awesome drawing based on it. Some day… 🙂

Two-pose female, charcoal drawing
Pretty sure these are 20-minutre poses, but most likely I got distracted during the first one. Anyway, I like how both of these turned out. I think it’s time to set new goals for the direction of my art, and maybe for a lengthy post in my blog about how I started 😀
Short pose two-figure, charcoal drawing
I enjoy the geometric feel those extended lines add to the overall figure. Sometimes charcoal stick is bent, so it makes two parallel marks at the same time with only one movement of a hand. Quite often it results in a happy accident rather than an unwanted mark.
Venus, charcoal sketches
Sometimes I forget how short these 3-minute poses are, and concentrate too much on one particular part of the figure. As the result, I usually end up with armless Venuses xD
Female gesture poses, charcoal drawing

I can tell the person from there drawings, and that makes me… Continue reading Female gesture poses, charcoal drawing
Two similar poses, charcoal drawing
Every now and then, it feels like the model does two identical poses in the row until you walk around and check the weight shift.
Leaning seated pose, charcoal figure drawing
I see the same problem here, I didn’t indicate the model’s surroundings, so the pose feels a little awkward. However, I still like it. Now, I usually just block in whatever the model is leaning on.
Standing and sitting figure, charcoal drawing
Whenever the pose is too short, I just concentrate on one part of the body and sort of just indicate the rest. There’s really no need to beat oneself over being unable to do the whole figure in a few minutes. Same goes for an unflattering pose, don’t try to challenge yourself to make it… Continue reading Standing and sitting figure, charcoal drawing
Half-seated pose, charcoal drawing
I like how this one turned out, but I kind of whish I drew the stool on which the model was sitting. Maybe someday I’ll finish it 🙂 However, it might be best not to touch it, since I usually end up ruining it 😀
