Sometimes, childhood memories are so vivid, that they need to be painted. I was meaning to paint this landscape for a long time now. When I was little, I used to play on that bridge on the left while my grandmother was collecting duckweed for the chickens and ducks. I would stare at dragonflies and snails, at the plants on the bottom of the swamp and tiny fish, and then I would help to carry one of the buckets home. I have a lot of these memories, and I hope I’ll get to painting them all. The medium used for this painting is also a tribute to my childhood, I used to love gouache when I was little.

Hi! My name is Oksana Ossipov, and I'm a visual artist and photographer. I’ve been trying to fully devote myself to art in the past two years. I’m learning and practicing as much as I can. However, workshops, classes and art supplies cost presents a certain financial challenge. If you like my work and want to support me, I would truly appreciate it! I have a few tiers set up on Patreon or even just sharing my art with credit on social media would help a lot. Thank you so much! View all posts by TrueNoir
