I love wildflowers, and when I came to Texas and saw fields of bluebonnets, cornflowers, and other beautiful flowers, I fell in love with spring! Now that I have a small garden, I planted a few cornflowers. The beauty of wildflowers is that they keep coming back year after year. I wish people would stop cutting their grass and let these flowers grow and bloom 🙂
This painting of Texan Cornflowers is done in blue and red color palette. It’s small in size, painted on paper about 5.5 by 8.5 inches. Painted area is 4 by 7 inch. Gouache paint on 138 lb paper.
