After nearly six months of looking at the ordinary objects in my house, I feel like drawing something else. I have this old calendar with adorable pictures of llamas, and sometimes I just have an urge to draw them. Here's a quick drawing of adorable, but determined baby llama!

Sometimes, I just draw what's in front of me, like this tea bag. However, quite often it turns out to be this ornate candy vase. I tried to capture its form, but symmetry didn't quite work out. Still, I think the general shape is quite clear, and the candy suggests its nature.
Here's another quick portrait of a girl. Sometimes I carry several pens, and this time I decided to use bright blue to accent some parts of the drawing. The main part is the heart that this girl is wearing on her neck. The proportions are somewhat off on the torso, and I wish I'd made more definition on the face.
Whenever I travel, I try to make some memories in the form of sketches. This is a view from Hilton Sydney hotel's lounge on the 36th floor. The hotel is built in the city center. It has a view of beautiful historic buildings and a cool new tram. It was built in the last two years, and now it's very easy to get to city harbor. What I love about Sydney is the preservation of historic buildings.
Every now and then, I see a person with interesting features. Immediately, I want to draw this person, but it's tough! This usually happens when I'm completely off practice with my portraits. On top of that, the particular feature that interested me most, takes over and turns out to be over-exaggerated. Let's assume that this … Continue reading .039 Long Neck, pen portrait
Here's another interior drawing from the North Italia restaurant. I used to be a frequent visitor before the quarantine, so I have several sketches from there. This time I focused on the interior and charming house plants on the wall. There were beautiful antique mirrors with shelves and a bunch of potted plants. I'm always … Continue reading .036 North Italia House Plants, interior drawing
Here's another throwback to the times before quarantine. It's funny, how no one even really knew what quarantine is or how it's spelled before 2020 hit. I can't believe I have spent nearly half a year without going anywhere. I even haven't left the house in months, thank goodness for backyard or I'd develop a … Continue reading .035 North Italia Lamp, pen drawing
I find, there's something magical and summery about these Japanese wind chimes, called furin. I don't have any in real life, but I always love to look at them in anime and games. I was thinking of making one, but they're usually made of thin glass, and that's hard to make at home. I'm considering … Continue reading .032 Furin, pen drawing
That time when thoughts start flowing around and through your head, right when you're about to fall asleep...
Sometimes, a cup is more than it seems. Sometimes, it has ears.
